- Hair Care:
Coconut oil is great for dry and damaged hair. I’ve been using it as a overnight hair mask for years, especially when I had an ombre/balayage!
I apply it all over my hair, focusing more on the ends, braid my hair and wash it off the next day.
For best results use it 1-2 times a week.
Coconut oil is also great to get rid of dandruff caused by candida or dryness.
2. Skin Care:
Coconut oil is great to hydrate dry skin and can also be used as an alternative to shaving cream.
It can also be used as a face moisturizer/makeup remover, however many dermatologists are against it because it is comedogenic. It can also make troubled skin worse.
Coconut oil can be used in high heat as a healthy alternative to other oils.
It will also give off a coconut taste that can be quite delicious, especially when baking desserts!
Some people have also found that coconut oil can help with weight loss.
4. Oil Pulling:
Oil pulling is a method used to clean the bacteria out of teeth. It also helps to fight bad breath and tooth decay. I haven’t personally tried oil pulling as I cannot stand the taste of coconut oil in my mouth, but many people have seen great results.
5. Internal Health:
Ingesting raw coconut oil can help fight inflammation in the body. It can also balance out hormones naturally and heal leaky guts!
